National Pizza Week Deals Around Philly Area

Pizza lovers in the Philadelphia area, check out these National Pizza Week deals — and tell us the best place to get a slice.

PHILADELPHIA – National Pizza Week, which falls on Jan. 13-19 this year, is one of those made-up holidays without historical context, but who cares? It’s an excuse to eat pizza on the cheap in the Philadelphia area, where several pizzerias are offering special deals.

The — OK, we’re just going to lay it on the line here — fake holiday is always observed on the week beginning with the second Sunday in January. Don’t confuse it with National Pizza Day, another holiday made up for the express purpose of selling pies. That’s on Feb. 9. And National Pizza Month is observed in October.
