🌱 New Medical Examiner + Fake Cash in Burbs + Grab That Phillies Gear
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Philadelphia.

Hello, neighbors! Patty-Pat Kozlowski here with your fresh copy of the Philadelphia Daily, filled with all the things you need to know about what's going on in town. Including updates on:
- A new medical examiner has her work cut out for her in a city with record homicides.
- Fake $100 bills are popping up in Montgomery County
- You gotta look swell when the Phils ring that bell!
But first, today's weather:
Cloudy with areas of drizzle. High: 71 Low: 61.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Philadelphia who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Philadelphia Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:
- Dr. Constance DiAngelo was selected by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to lead the Medical Examiner's Office. DiAngelo will lead the office responsible for discovering the cause of death in homicides, overdoses and sudden death. In 2021, Dr. Thomas Farley resigned from the post over a controversy involving remains from those killed in the 1983 MOVE bombings. (fox29.com)
- This counterfeiter really needed to wash his hair. Three stores in Montgomery County had a run-in with a guy buying shampoo with fake $100 bills. Two hair salons and a Rite Aid pharmacy were targets of the counterfeit ring. (Chester Daily Voice)
- OK Phillies fans, you have until Friday to get your World Series gear and start styling! Modell's Sporting Goods used to be the bonafide place to grab your playoff shirts and rally towels but it went out of business. Check out these local shops that have been running t-shirt presses around the clock to meet the demand for Phillies World Series fashions. (inquirer.com)
