Nationwide, Target is reaching new guests by opening small-format stores in urban areas, dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses. These smaller stores allow Target to open in areas where a full-size Target might not fit.
"Philadelphia-area guests have given our small-format stores a very warm reception, and we look forward to providing even more guests with a customized and convenient, one-stop shop experience," Mark Schindele, senior vice president, Properties, Target, said. "We'll provide a curated assortment of groceries, beauty products, and more, as well as convenient pick-up point for online orders."
This is Target's ninth small-format store in the area, joining existing Target stores at Rittenhouse Square, Washington Square West, Roxborough and Philadelphia Art Museum.
This Target store is employing about 75 people.
The small-format Target is located at 1020 S. Broad St.
