"No War On Iran" Rally Planned For Saturday
The Party for Socialism and Liberation- Philadelphia and LILAC will be holding an "No War On Iran" rally at City Hall on Saturday.

The Party For Socilaism and Liberation- Philadelphia and Local Initaitive Local Action (LILAC) will be holding an "No War On Iran/US Troops Out Of Iraq" rally at City Hall on Saturday, January 4th starting at 12pm. The rally comes a day after President Donald Trump ordered 750 US Troops to Iraq following the killing of Qassim Suleimani, Iranian General due to an airstrike from the US which lead to protests by Iran citizens.
The groups goal of the rally is to "let the Trump admiration, the Democrats and Republicans who have supported and continue to support this occupation, and the Iraqi people fighting bravely for self-determination. We in the US will fight back against this continued occupation and new escalation"
The rally has been endorsed by over 20 groups including student groups from Temple and Drexel University and local organizations such as Black Alliance For Peace and Philly For Real Justice. The rally has received no endorsement by any government or local officials.

According to the event Facebook page, over 1,000 are expected to attend the rally and the rally is expected to last 2-3 hours. The rally will take place at City Hall on 15th and Market.
