Now a forward on the Neumann University women’s team, Martinez got her start through the Ed Snider Youth Hockey and education program.

“I started the program back in 2006 — I just always loved hockey and this program is more than hockey and that’s what dragged me into it,” Martinez said. “Being a part of the Snider program has really changed my life. If I wasn’t a part of it I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t be the woman I am, I wouldn’t have as many connections. I just wouldn’t be the person I am.”
