Here are the top three stories in Philadelphia today:
- A PATCO train traveling westbound into Philadelphia struck and killed two construction workers on Friday evening. The two workers were contractors from JPC Group Inc. and they were part of a long-term bridge reconstruction project. The accident happened just after 9 p.m. and both Delaware River Bridge Authority Police and officers from both sides of the river span responded while the train service was stopped and delayed. (PhillyVoice)
- Late Saturday afternoon, a thunderous euphoric roar erupted out of Citizens Bank Park as the Phillies became NLDS Champions. They are now only four wins away from the World Series and their victory has woke a city up from a decade-long slump. (inquirer.com)
- As Philadelphia is pummeled with violent crime, bike theft takes a back seat on the police blotter. But bike owners have found ways both technically advanced and good old fashion gumshoe-ing to get their city ponies back. (inquirer.com)

- Zach Piller will forever have a whale of a fish story. Last week Zach and his dad were fishing off the coast of Belmar, NJ when he captured this amazing video on his phone while his pop was reeling in a fish. Just a fair warning of the language but we'd bet you'd say the same thing. (PhillyVoice)
- Day of hooky at Temple University? Thousands of students signed a petition to ask the college to cancel classes on Election Day so all the Owls can get to the polling places. (billypenn.com)
- Psst. Wanna buy a newsstand? Ya know, the shed-like structures on street corners that sell newspapers , (Remember them? Neither do we.) gum and lottery tickets? The Newsstand Association of Philadelphia has a few for sale. (Wooder Ice)
