- sanitation workers;
- maintenance and janitorial staff;
- utility workers;
- and postal and package delivery workers;.
The Health Department has asked vaccine providers, including pharmacies, to allow these prioritized groups to set appointments.
Other groups prioritized in Phase 1c — including those in higher education, public-facing finance roles, transportation (such as airport and train workers, and taxi, and rideshare workers), construction, telecommunications and IT, the press, the legal industry, and public health workers — will be made eligible later this month.
Those in Phase 1a and 1b groups are still eligible and are encouraged to get vaccinated.
Officials last week said the city will enter Phase 2 no later than May 1.
As of Monday, the city reports 556,773 people have been partially vaccinated and 318,604 have been fully vaccinated.
Those interested in getting the vaccine can register on the city's website here or call 311 to register.
