used for care of Williams' relative that he spent on himself.

Several months ago, Williams said he will not seek reelection but said he would not abandon the DA's office.

"During my tenure, I have made regrettable mistakes in my personal life and personal financial life that cast an unnecessary shadow over the district attorney's office," he said in February. "I no longer want in any way to stand in the way of the men and women of this who have the mission of doing justice and serving the citizens and ensuring safety everyday."

The trial will go as planned May 31 unless prosecutors file an expanded indictment, Fox reports.

CBS reports Williams' city-issued email will be a major factor in the trial after the DA's office objected to the email being used in the trial.
