Philadelphia School District Closing Early Monday, Jan 8

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for eastern PA, which is effective from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8.

PHILADELPHIA – All School District of Philadelphia school will close early Monday, Jan. 8 as wintry weather is expected to descend on the region Monday afternoon and evening, possibly making commutes troublesome.

All schools and early childhood centers will dismiss at 1 p.m. Monday, the district said.

After-school activities and events planned for Monday have been canceled, as well. This includes all athletic programs and professional development sessions.
