Philly Man Shot At Car With 2-Month-Old Inside: Delaware State Police
Nasir Simmons is accused of opening fire on a vehicle with a 32-year-old man and a 2-month-old baby in it on a Delaware highway Thursday.

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia man will be charged with felony crimes after Delaware State Police said he shot at a vehicle that had a 2-month-old baby in it Thursday on Interstate 495.
Nasir Simmons, 21, of Philadelphia, will be charged with one felony count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and two felony counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree after being extradited from Philadelphia to Delaware.
The shooting occurred at about 9:19 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 495 north just south of Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington.

State police learned a red Honda Accord was traveling in the right northbound lane of I-495 when it was struck by multiple rounds of gunfire shot from a burgundy passenger vehicle.
The Honda pulled over onto the shoulder as the other vehicle fled north on I-495.

The Honda’s occupants, a 32-year-old man, and a 2-month-old baby, were not injured.
Authorities said they learned the vehicle the gunfire came from was a maroon Hyundai Sonata with Pennsylvania registration, and developed Nasir Simmons as the suspect.
Simmons, along with the Hyundai, was found by Philadelphia Police Thursday night. He was taken into custody without incident, Delaware State Police said.
