🌱 Weekend Weather + Philly Museum Of Art Union Strike Authorized
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Philadelphia.

Hello there, Philadelphia! I'm here in your inbox per usual to get you caught up on everything you need to know about what's going on around town. Without further ado...
First, today's weather:
Plenty of sunshine. High: 86 Low: 66.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Philadelphia who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Philadelphia Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top three stories in Philadelphia today:
- The last weekend of summer is upon us. How will the weather look? According to a report from Philly Voice, the weather will be dry today and Saturday. Sunday and Monday will have a chance for storms, but you shouldn't expect anything too heavy. Still, the humidity will be on the rise as the weekend goes on, so your most comfortable outdoor time will come today and tomorrow. (PhillyVoice.com)
- The union representing workers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art has authorized a strike as part of a nearly two-year contract dispute. A work stoppage is not necessarily guaranteed, but 99 percent of the 165 workers in the union voted to authorize the strike. A representative with the union says that the PMA Boarch chair Leslie Anne Miller and COO Bill Petersen can avert the strike by coming to the bargaining table with "real responses." (Patch)
- Two men are injured after a shooting in southwest Philadelphia. The victims, aged 24 and 26, are listed in stable condition. The shooting took place in Bartram Village on Wednesday night. Police say they were unable to find any ballistic evidence at the scene, and no suspects have been identified. (Philadelphia Patch)
