Philly Public Transportation Among Nation's Worst, WalletHub Says
A new list of the best and worst cities for public transportation from WalletHub does not put Philly in good light.

PHILADELPHIA — What is your take on SEPTA's services? Well, the people over at WalletHub don't have a lot of good to say about it in their new rankings of public transportation around the country.
WalletHub recently released its list of 2019’s Cities with the Best & Worst Public Transportation.
Philadelphia, out of the 100 cities examined, came in at No. 89. Not great.

Not only was Philly overall among the worst, it was ranked as having the second-highest public transportation ticket prices as a percent of median household income, and have the second highest transportation vehicle fleet age.
WalletHub looked at 100 cities across 17 key metrics, using data set ranges from share of commuters who use public transit and average age of the fleet to number of injuries and peak hours spent in congestion. See the full methodology here.

The best public transportation per WalletHub is in Seattle, Washington. The top five is rounded out by Boston, Massachusetts; San Francisco, California; Washington, DC; and Madison, Wisconsin.
The top 5 worst cities were Indianapolis, Indiana; St. Petersburg, Florida; Tampa, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina; and New Orleans, Louisiana.
