Police Arrest, ID Woman Accused Of Shooting 7-Month-Old In Philly: Reports

Police said the 28-year-old woman fired multiple shots at the child's parents during an altercation in Holmesburg on Thursday.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities have arrested the woman accused of shooting an infant and firing shots at his parents in Philadelphia's Holmesburg neighborhood on Thursday, according to reports citing police.

Police arrested Dominique Billips, 28, in connection with the shooting that happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 4000 block of Meridian Street, Action News and NBC Philadelphia reported.

Surveillance video of the shooting released by police showed the shooter approach a man and woman pushing a stroller. She fired multiple shots before she fled the scene.

Authorities said it appeared the shooter was firing at the child's mother and father. Police told Action News the shooting stemmed from an argument about a $100 narcotics debt.

The infant, who was struck in the leg by a bullet, was taken to the hospital. He is currently in stable condition, NBC Philadelphia reported.
