Police Chase Ends With Driver Tased, Officer Injured: Philly Police
During the arrest, a responding officer sustained an injury to her right hand and was transported to Methodist Hospital, police said.
PHILADELPHIA — A man was taken into custody after leading police on a chase in Philadelphia and being hit with a taser Tuesday, according to police.
The incident started at about 11 a.m. on Snyder Avenue near 10th Street when police said a red 2002 Chevy S10 heading westbound on Snyder toward 10th.
The Chevy blew through a red light at that intersections, and at Snyder and 11th Streets, police said.

Authorities learned the vehicle was reported stolen in a carjacking at 3900 Kensington Avenue previously.
The driver did not stop when police tried to pull the vehicle over, and went left onto Porter Street, then north onto Ninth Street at Snyder Avenue.

Police said the vehicle got stuck in traffic there and tried to ride the curb unsuccessfully before reversing and moving forward again, ultimately striking a home railing at the 2100 block of South 9th Street.
The male driver was tased and apprehended. He was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment.
It's unclear what charges will be filed against the driver.
During the arrest, a responding officer sustained an injury to her right hand and was transported to Methodist Hospital, where she is in stable condition.
