Here are the top three stories in Philadelphia today:

  1. A 19th District Philadelphia police officer was shot twice in the abdomen from a passenger in a car he had stopped on North 60th Street in West Philadelphia. His partner fired at the two suspects who fled the scene. Police have not confirmed if either suspect was shot or injured. SWAT officers surrounded a nearby home and took four males into custody. The injured officer remains in critical condition at Penn Presbyterian Hospital. (6abc Philadelphia)
  2. The sky was falling during the morning commute at 13th and Walnut Streets. A 30-year-old woman was struck from falling debris and concrete on an apartment building and was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. A bloodied sidewalk and pieces of concrete were taped off as L&I came to inspect the structure. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  3. A group of teenage girls, one with her face spraypainted black, made a video on social media mocking Black History Month and slavery. The minors are allegedly students at Franklintowne Charter High School and St. Hubert's Catholic High School for Girls in Northeast Philadelphia. The video prompted protestors to stand outside the schools and call for action against the students. Both schools are investigating. (CBS Philly)
