Popular Fast Food Chain Expanding To Philly Area With 10 Locations

PHILADELPHIA — A popular chicken fast food chain is expanding presence from the south into the north.

Zaxby's recently announced it will be opening 10 locations in the Philadelphia region. The first two opening in 2025, and the rest will come over the following years, according to a news release.

The Georgia-based chain is known for its chicken fingers, chicken wings, sandwiches, and sauces.

"The chance to bring Zaxbys to Philadelphia is both exciting and meaningful," new franchise owner George Abdelmessieh said. "I recognize that Zaxbys is a strong brand with an excellent product. These values align with the principles I've relied on to build my other franchise businesses. Bringing Zaxbys to Philly is something I'm building not only for my community, but also for my family, creating a legacy I hope will benefit my children and grandchildren."

Abdelmessieh and his team are securing sites across the Philadelphia area in preparation for next year's openings. Specifics on locations have not yet been released.
