🌱 Priest Sentenced For Lying To FBI + Armed Carjacker Gets 11 Years

Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:
- Former Philly catholic priest Robert Brennan has been formally sentenced for lying to the FBI. Brennan admitted to lying to the Bureau in a child sex abuse case in 2019. He was sentenced to five years of probation; he will serve the first two years of that sentence in home confinement with location monitoring. (Philadelphia Patch)
- A Philadelphia armed carjacker received more than 11 years in prison after their sentencing. Rasheen Mainor was sentenced to over 11 years and five months in prison, to be followed by three additional years of supervised release. Mainor was indicted for a carjacking in December 2019 and an armed robbery in January 2020. (Philadelphia Patch)
- The School District of Philadelphia has named Tony Watlington as their new superintendent. Watlington was previously the superintendent of the Rowan-Salisbury Schools System. He will formally start in his new position on Jun. 16. (WHYY)
