Rite Aid Employee Thrown To Ground By Thief: Philly Police

Police said the man seen here started taking items from behind the counter of a Center City Rite Aid then threw a worker to the ground.

PHILADELPHIA — A man stole items from a Center City store then assaulted an employee over the weekend, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said the man above went into the Rite Aid store at 2301 Walnut Street at about 11:42 p.m. on Sept. 8.

He went behind the counter and started taking items, police said.

An employee confronted him and the man then threw the employee to the ground, according to p0olice.

The man left the store with the items, heading in an unknown direction, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 20 years old, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build, short dreadlocks, and agoatee. He was wearing a dark puffy “Nike” jacket and black pants.
