Robbery, Shooting Suspect Nabbed By Pizza Shop Owner: Reports

A daughter and mother working in the shop were shot by a robbery suspect, and the owner was among those who caught him.

PHILADELPHIA — A robbery and shooting suspect is in custody after the owner of a pizza shop he targeted help subdue him.

The incident occurred at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday at Mayfair Pizza on the 7400 block of Frankford Avenue, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

A 19-year-old man armed with a gun came into the shop, demanded money, and fired three shots, according to NBC10.

A 66-year-old woman and her daughter, 35, were hit by the gunfire, Fox 29 reports.

Both are in stable condition.

Action News reports the shop owner, who is also the victims' husband and father, was among customers and other employees who subdued the suspect.

Police have not identified the suspect.
