  1. Philadelphia pediatric hospitals are overwhelmed with sick children, most of whom have the contagious respiratory virus RSV. It's a trend that's happening across the country, complicated by the increasing number of flu cases. (PA Patch)
  2. See if you can follow this: A SEPTA police officer shot a man that followed a brief pursuit after a woman was shot 10 times and killed in South Philadelphia Tuesday morning. According to police, a 20 year-old the woman was shot 10 times near Broad and Ellsworth Streets at approximately 7:56 a.m. on Tuesday morning. She was taken to Presbyterian Hospital by medics but was pronounced dead at 8:26 a.m. SEPTA Police on patrol heard the gunshots and ran in pursuit of the gunman and a gunfight ensued. (msn.com)
  3. The Powerball drawing for the record $1.9 billion jackpot scheduled to be held late Monday night was delayed because one of the 48 participating lotteries did not submit its sales information in time. Lotto officials finally drew the game on Tuesday morning and a California ticket won the humongous payout. However, if you bought your tickets in NJ, there are a few winners of $1 million bucks! Franklin Square will feature a free dazzling light show, seasonal mini golf, a beer garden and holiday treats as part of its Winter in Franklin Square event, which runs from Nov. 16 through Feb. 26.   • And then this happened-yesterday, we reported along with other Philadelphia news outlets, that a 16 year-old teenager was an innocent bystander who was shot on the Broad Street Subway where a 20-year-old man was shot eleven times and killed. Now, investigators report, he is the alleged shooter and killed the man during a botched robbery. (fox29.com)
