A Salute to The Allman Brothers Band and J. Geils Band 1971 Show

In 1968 legendary concert promoter Bill Graham opened the Fillmore East in New York City. The Fillmore also gained legendary status hosting a who’s who of now classic rock acts including The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix. Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin. In fact the Allmans played there so often they were deemed the “house band”.

It was at the venue’s final concert on June 27th, 1971, an invitation only show, that the Allmans recorded their platinum selling album Eat A Peach featuring future rock radio staples "Melissa”, “Blue Sky’ and the half hour long “Mountain Jam” all of which later became part of The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings widely regarded as one of the best live records of all time. The triple bill final concert also featured The J. Geils Band and Albert King.

On March 3rd, 2022 Brooklyn Bowl presents a tribute to the June 27th concert featuring the #1 touring Allman Brothers tribute show aptly named Live At The Fillmore plus Bloodshot a tribute to the J. Geils Band. Both will be performing cuts from the final Fillmore East concert. Also appearing is very special guest, celebrated percussionist Edgardo Cintron. Edgardo has performed with Allman's percussionist, Marc Quinnones and on separate occasion with the Allman Brother Band at the Clinton inauguration.

Live At The Fillmore has been dubbed "The World's Greatest Tribute to The Allman Brothers Band” by AXS-TV and has, for over a decade, performed the music of The Allman Brothers Band with devoted authenticity, passionately capturing the magic of the bands early years. Over the years they have either performed with or had the blessing of all remaining members of the original Allman Brothers band. They have sold out concerts nationwide, performed alongside Southern Rock greats such as Molly Hatchett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special and more.

Bloodshot is a tribute to the great J. Geils Band, specializing on recreating their dynamic and energetic live performances from the bands 1970’s classic albums "Blow Your Face Out" and "Full House”.
