SEPTA Altering 3 Regional Rail Lines, Closing Penn Medicine Station

According to SEPTA, now through late August, the Media-Wawa, Wilmington-Newark and Airport Lines are being impacted by the program.

PHILADELPHIA — Three SEPTA Regional Rail Lines are being altered and the Penn Medicine Station is closed as the authority works on its Southwest Connection Improvement Program.

According to SEPTA, now through late August, the Media-Wawa, Wilmington-Newark and Airport Lines are being impacted by the program.

The Media-Wawa Line will not have service Monday through Friday due to project work.

For the remained of the project, the line will have adjusted schedules.

Shuttles will run between 49th Street Station, 33rd and Spruce Streets and 30th Street Station during the week.

On weekends, shuttles will run between Swarthmore Station, 33rd and Spruce Streets, and 30th Street Station.

On the Airport Line, service is suspended to Suburban, Jefferson, or Temple University Stations through Saturday, Aug. 26.

Adjusted schedules will be in effect during the suspension.

Trains will run hourly from all airport terminals, Eastwick, and 30th Street Station during the week and shuttles will be provided between all airport terminals, Eastwick, and 30th Street Station on weekends.

On the Wilmington-Newark Line, service is also suspended to Suburban, Jefferson, or Temple University Stations through Aug. 26.

All trains will arrive at 30th Street Station via the Amtrak terminal.

Adjusted schedules will also be in effect.

Additionally, Penn Medicine Station will be closed through Aug. 26.

During the closure, shuttles will be running between 33rd and Spruce Streets and 30th Street Station.
