SEPTA said it has a limited supply of surgical masks it is making available for riders on certain modes of transit amid the coronavirus.

PHILADELPHIA — In an effort to protect riders and workers, SEPTA is making a limited number of surgical masks available to riders on certain modes of transit.

SEPTA said starting Wednesday, surgical masks will be available for riders on some buses, the Market-Frankford Line, and the Broad Street Line.

Additionally, masks are available at some of its major hubs, including 69th Street, 15th Street, Suburban and Jefferson stations.

However, once the main supply of masks is depleted, SEPTA will no longer provide masks for riders.

SEPTA recently made changes to the rider mask policy after video showed Philadelphia Police officers forcibly removing a rider from a bus.

Riders are now "urged" to wear masks on SEPTA vehicles and trains.
