SEPTA TransPasses Not Being Accepted On Airport Line As Of July 1
As of July 1, SEPTA riders will need a Zone 1 or greater Weekly/Monthly TrailPass for weekday travel on the Airport Line, SEPTA said.

PHILADELPHIA — SEPTA riders who use TransPasses during weekday travel on the Airport Kine will no longer be able to use the pass as of July 1, SEPTA said.
Beginning July 1, customers who use weekly or monthly passes will need a Zone 1 or greater Weekly/Monthly TrailPass for weekday travel on the Airport Line. There will be no change to single-trip or cash fares.
Customers who purchase TransPasses on Key Cards can continue to use the same Key Card. However, will just need to purchase a Zone 1 TrailPass for travel starting July 1.

Riders who buy Monthly SEPTA Passes through a Corporate Benefits program or at Travelex Currency Services at Philadelphia International Airport will continue to get a legacy magnetic stripe pass when they purchase a Zone 1 TrailPass.
TransPasses will remain valid for travel on all Regional Rail lines on weekends and major holidays.

The change was announced as part of the fare policies that went into effect on July 1, 2017. The policy noted that with the Key being introduced on Regional Rail, TransPasses would be phased out for weekday use on the Airport Line.
