Service Restored To 70 Properties After Water Main Break In Philadelphia's Germantown Neighborhood

Service was restored early Wednesday morning after a water main break left 70 properties without water in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood.

The water main break sent water rushing into a Philadelphia street Tuesday afternoon as crews continued working to clear packed-down ice and snow.

The Philadelphia Water Department said a crew responded to the leak around 11 a.m. Seventy properties didn't have water, but the 6-inch water main was repaired and service was restored, a spokesperson for the department said.
