'Shark Tank' Auditions Being Held June 28 In Philadelphia

This is your chance to pitch your product to the "sharks" and potentially get some serious financial backing.

PHILADELPHIA – Calling all Philadelphia-area entrepreneurs and inventors: ABC's hit show "Shark Tank" is holding auditions right here in Philadelphia and you can apply to become a contestant now.

The auditions are being held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 28 at XFINITY Live!, 1100 Pattison Ave., Philadelphia.

Numbered wristbands will be distributed to applicants from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and interviews will begin at 11 a.m.

To audition, you must fill out an application that includes lots of information, so get ready to do some reading should you want to pitch ideas to the "sharks." Interested parties can download the application online at ABC's website here. You should have the completed application with you at the audition.

Those who make it to the open audition will be given the opportunity to do a one-minute pitch for just one business/product/idea to a member of the show's casting team – just like you would as if you were on the show, according to ABC.

So be prepared to wow and dazzle the casting team. Security may check your bag and you are responsible for your own parking.

All Open Calls are open to the general public. As long as you arrive during the allotted "Numbered Wristbands Distributed" time and receive a wristband you will have the chance to pitch. There is no reason to camp out the night before.

Those auditioning will have time to go back to their vehicles after receiving their wristbands to get any large or bulky props or equipment. There are no guarantees of access to power, internet or any other A/V equipment.
