Shooting At Homicide Victim's Vigil Leaves 5 Hurt

The victims were gathering at a vigil for Orlando Negron, who was killed July 5, when a drive-by shooting occurred Tuesday night.

PHILADELPHIA — Five people were hurt in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night while attending a homicide victim's funeral.

The shooting occurred at about 8:40 p.m. on the 500 block of East Wyoming Avenue, police said.

There, people gathered to remember 20-year-old Orlando Negron, who was shot and killed July 5, NBC10 reports.

Police said a white Jeep drove past the vigil and opened fire.

Two women and three men — ages 18, 23, and 55 — were hit by gunfire.

Police said some were shot in their extremities, and one person was shot in the face.

All are in stable condition, however, police said.

Police found multiple shell casings at the scene then found the vehicle involved, and three guns in the vehicle.
