Shooting Suspect Captured On Victim's Dashboard Camera: Philly Police

Philadelphia Police said the man seen here fired at a vehicle Friday night, striking the victim in the chest and leaving him critical.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia have released dashboard camera footage from a road rage shooting incident that occurred Friday night.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 9:40 p.m. on the 7100 block of Old York Road.

A 31-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest by police officers.

He as taken to a hospital, where he is in critical condition.

Police looked at footage from the victim's dashboard camera and saw the incident play out.

The footage shows a black Nissan Murano stop at the traffic light at Old York Road and Cheltenham Avenue in front of the victim's vehicle, according to police.

The Nissan's passenger was seen getting out of the vehicle and walking towards the victim’s vehicle while firing several gunshots into the windshield, police said.

The Nissan was last seen heading north on Old York Road into Cheltenham Township.

Police described the suspect as a black man who was wearing a black balaclava style mask, black zip-up jacket over a white shirt, black or gray pants with a black belt.

The second suspect was described as a black man with a heavy build and full beard who was wearing a black skull cap, large glasses with black frames, black hooded jacket with a "Nike" logo on the left chest, gray sweatpants, black and white sneakers.

Police said the Nissan was a 2008 to 2014 Murano model with a white paper tag that partially reads 090.
