Speed Limit Restored On Philadelphia-Area Highways
Speed limits on highways — including Interstates 76, 476, 676, as well as U.S. Routes 1, 30, and 202 — have been restored, PennDOT said.

PHILADELPHIA — PennDOT has restored the speed limit on several roadways in the region after reducing limits due to snow.
PennDOT Monday reduced speeds on the following highways:
- Interstates 76, 95, 295, 476, 676;
- U.S. Routes 1, 30, 202, 422; and
- State Routes 63 and 309.
Despite restoring speed limits, crews are still treating roadways until roads are clear.

Drivers should allow plenty of space when driving near plow trucks. Also, for their own safety and the safety of plow operators, drivers should never attempt to pass a truck while it is plowing or spreading winter materials.
PennDOT reminds drivers to have emergency kits in their vehicles. A basic kit should include non-perishable food, water, blanket, small shovel and warm clothes. When preparing an emergency kit, motorists should take into account special needs of passengers such as baby food, pet supplies or medications and pack accordingly.
