Star Student Athlete: UPenn Junior Is The 'GOAT' On, Off Field
We all know athletes who shine whether they're competing or not. Let's help share these amazing stories!

PHILADELPHIA — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.
This submission comes from Frances Weightman, who nominated Maurcus McDaniel, a Junior at University of Penn of Philadelphia.

He is on the deans list at UPENN as an architect major. He has won the Max Football award in High school and was inducted into the max hall of fame. He now plays multiple positions in football. He plays special teams, receiver and at times Wildcat QB. You have to know all of these positions and study them to do them well. He cares for his team and is kind to others.

He is extremely intelligent and is what many consider a “goat” in the game. Not only is he a goat in the game, he is a goat in the classroom.
Keep up the great work, Maurcus!
