SurgarHouse Casino Changing Name To 'Rivers Casino Philadelphia'
The rebanding effort at SugarHouse Casino will come to the tune of about $15 million, officials said.

PHILADELPHIA — Philly's SugarHouse Casino will have a new name come later this year, according to officials.
In a presentation to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, officials with the casino said the facility will be called Rivers Casino Philadelphia, matching the names the company's other casinos.
Those are called in Pittsburgh; Des Plaines, Illinois; and Schenectady, New York and all follow that naming convention.

The rebranding effort will cost $15 million, officials said.
In early summer, officials will begin property transformation, including internal controls such as signage, gaming items, and more.

iGaming will launch mid summer and by the end of summer the casino will launch an expanded, permanent sports book.
The official Rivers Casino Philadelphia launch will be held in fall this year.
