Target’s Car Seat Trade-In returns to Philadelphia with exclusive giveaways

If you have an old, expired or damaged child car seat, Target’s car seat trade-in event is returning this month, giving Philadelphia-area families a new chance to save on baby gear.

The event runs from April 19 through May 2. During that time, guests can bring in any car seat to a participating Target store and receive a 20% off Target Circle Bonus.

For Philadelphia-area shoppers, old car seats can be dropped off at a Target store, where collection boxes will be located near Guest Services. Target says it will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant car seats, convertible car seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats, as well as car seats that are expired or damaged.

This year marks the 10th year of Target’s bi-annual Car Seat Trade-In event. Target says the program has helped keep more than 58 million pounds of materials out of landfills, and that recycled resin from discarded car seats has been repurposed into more than 690,000 Brightroom and Room Essentials owned-brand products.

The anniversary event goes beyond the discount, with in-store experiences and giveaways designed to help Philadelphia families shop for their growing households with ease. Target is hosting in-store giveaways and samples on baby essentials on April 25 and 26 to help guests discover what’s new in the baby department.

It also marks the first Car Seat Trade-In event with Baby Concierge and Baby Boutique, which launched in five stores in Pennsylvania in March, offering both in-person and virtual support tailored to parents’ needs.

Together, the Car Seat Trade-In program and in-store giveaway events build on Target’s commitment to helping guests shop for baby items with confidence and ease. More information on how to take part in the Car Seat Trade-In program is available on Target’s website.
