Teen Babysitter Shot With Children Inside Home: Reports

A 16-year-old boy who was babysitting his cousins was shot when he answered a knock at the door late Monday, according to reports.

PHILADELPHIA — A teenage boy is in stable condition after being shot when he answered a knock at an East Mt. Airy home's door where he was babysitting his cousins.

According to NBC10, the incident occurred late Monday at a home on East Cliveden Street.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, answered a knock at the door of the home where he was babysitting his 5- and 7-year-old cousins, Fox 29 reports.

When he answered the door, a person came in and fired six shots, hitting the boy in the stomach and arm, according to Action News.

The boy was taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition.
