Teen Killed At SEPTA Station, Suspect Images Released

A 14-year-old boy died after being shot twice at a SEPTA station in West Philadelphia Saturday afternoon and his gunman is now being sought.

PHILADELPHIA — Authorities in Philadelphia are searching for a person accused of shooting and killing a teen boy at a SEPTA station over the weekend.

The shooting occurred at about 2 p.m. Saturday at the SEPTA station at 52nd and Market in West Philadelphia, Fox 29 reports.

A 14-year-old boy, later identified as Wort Whipple, was found suffering from two gunshot wounds at the station and was taken to a hospital, where he later died, Action News reports.

Police released photos of the suspect, showing a person in a black facemask and a black hoodie and was armed with a lime green handgun, according to NBC10.
