Temple Employee Stabbed Tuesday Morning, Suspect Sought
The employee was stabbed on the 1000 block of Montgomery Avenue by someone who "appeared to be in mental distress," school officials said.

PHILADELPHIA — Authorities in Philadelphia are looking for the person who stabbed a Temple University employee Tuesday morning.
The stabbing occurred at about 7:15 a.m. on the 1000 block of Montgomery Avenue.
Temple University Police Officers were called to the area for reports of an assault and found that a Temple employee who was stabbed.

According to the university, the employee suffered one stab wound in their right arm. The employee was taken to Temple Hospital while alert and conscious, the school said.
Officials said the incident was unprovoked, and the attacker appeared to be in mental distress.

The suspect went east on Montgomery towards Eighth Street following the incident.
Philadelphia Police are assisting Temple University Police with the investigation.
