Here are the top three stories in Philadelphia today:

  1. Well, that's a good reason for a train being delayed. Police say 30th Street Station was temporarily evacuated on New Year's Day due to a suspicious device. The suspicious device was found inside the train hub between platforms five and six but the bomb squad responded at 10:43 p.m. and cleared the device as non-explosive. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
  2. Should we get in line now for our Jim's cheesesteaks? Philadelphia cheesesteak lovers, your cheesy dreams are one step closer to becoming a reality at one local cheesesteak shop recovering after a devastating fire over the summer. Jim's South Street cheesesteak and hoagie shop posted renderings of the new building on its Twitter account Sunday afternoon along with a new year's message that says it will open this year. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  3. Only a gas explosion can get in the way of a Wawa run. Chris Heinsinger and his girlfriend were looking to grab a bite to eat before making their way home after New Years' Eve when they drove through a street that exploded suddenly from a gas leak in Port Richmond. "I remember everything. The smell, the taste of the debris, it's still fresh in my head," Chris Heinsinger said. (6abc Philadelphia)
