Try A 'Double Bread Bowl' At Panera Bread In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – Fans of Panera Bread in Philadelphia, rejoice! The popular chain eatery is testing out a new menu item and it's only being offered in Philly, for now.

Panera is testing its Double Bread Bowls at all 32 Philly-area locations, meaning you can get two soups or maybe mac and cheese in a new item that has two bread bowls baked in.

The Double Bread Bowl looks like it would be perfect for sharing.

"Ideal for sharing with your BFF, significant other, or even a co-worker, the double bread bowl can include any two of Panera’s signature soups or Mac & Cheese," the company said in a press release.

All Philadelphia Panera Bread locations will offer the new item from Sunday, Aug. 5, to Friday, Aug. 31.

"We are excited to test the double bread bowl in the Philadelphia market for a limited time and hear feedback from our Philadelphia customers! Philadelphia was the right place to test this product both operationally and because we know we have a lot of great Panera fans in the market."

Panera recently rolled out a delivery service in the Philly area, as well, and you can even use the delivery service to get your double bread bowl.

All you need to do is add an unsliced sourdough loaf to their cart and add "make the sourdough a double bread bowl" in the special instructions field on the Panera app or website when ordering delivery. Then, just pick two cups of soups or mac and cheese to complete your Double Bread Bowl.
