PHILADELPHIA — A wild turkey was found wandering at a Philadelphia playground on Thanksgiving Eve, of all days.

ACCT Philly said the bird will hopefully be released into the wild.
"For those wondering, wild turkeys are related to the domestic turkeys, but domestic turkeys have been considerably changed due to the breeding for meat, emphasizing meat over function," ACCT Philly said. "So, wild turkeys can still fly up to 60 miles an hour but their domestic counterparts are often too heavy and disproportioned to be able even walk far."
