Victims IDed As Mass Shooting Kills 2, Wounds 3 In Philadelphia: Police

The unknown shooter fired at a crowd from a white vehicle, authorities said.

PHILADELPHIA — A masked gunman fired at a crowd from a vehicle, killing two men and injuring three others in a mass shooting Monday night in West Philadelphia, police said.

The unknown shooter opened fire from a white vehicle around 8:40 a.m. on the 300 block of S 60th St. The victims were brought to different hospitals.

Two men — Paul Cobb and Naasir Boyd, both 24, of Philadelphia — were shot in the chest. They succumbed to their injuries Monday night at Penn-Presbyterian Hospital.

A 36-year-old man who was shot in the stomach remains in critical condition, police said Tuesday morning. The other wounded victims, ages 54 and 35, are listed in stable condition as they recover from gunshot wounds to the leg.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made as of this writing. Homicide detectives continue to seek information on the white vehicle and the shooter.
