Philadelphia City Commissioners set up a livestream of workers counting ballots in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

PHILADELPHIA — Mail-in and absentee ballot counting is underway in Philadelphia.
The city set up a massive ballot processing facility in the Pennsylvania Convention Center to take on the herculean task of counting hundreds of thousands of mail-in and absentee ballots.
Officials Monday said the last count for mail-in ballots was 400,000, an historic number of mail-in ballots in Philadelphia. Workers began counting the ballots at 7 a.m., when polls opened.

Final results are expected to take several days, Mayor Jim Kenney and City Commissioner Lisa Deeley said in a letter to residents.

"By law, staffers are not allowed to start opening and counting these ballots until Election Day itself," they said. "That means getting a tally of mail-in ballots will easily take several days. This may determine the outcome in Philadelphia, and in the Commonwealth as a whole. So, again, please be patient.
