WATCH: Ring Video Shows Moment Philadelphia Cop Shooting Began

A resident's doorbell camera captured the moment that started a roughly seven-and-a-half-hour-long shooting and standoff situation.

PHILADELPHIA — A doorbell camera on the same block where a six Philadelphia Police officers were shot during a lengthy standoff situation captured the moment when it all began Wednesday around 4:30 p.m.

A resident on the 3600 block of North 15th Street's Ring doorbell camera was recording when officers were in the neighborhood to serve a search warrant as part of a narcotics investigation.

All of the six officers who were shot were released from the hospital Wednesday night.

More than 100 shots were fired at police, allegedly by 36-year-old Maurice Hill of Philadelphia, as the situation unfolded in the city's Nicetown section.

Eventually, the gunman surrendered to police after teargas was used to draw him out.
