Woman Attacked At Center City Bus Stop, Suspect Sought

A woman in her 60s was attacked seemingly at random Wednesday morning at 11th and Market Street, Philadelphia Police said.

PHILADELPHIA — A woman was attacked while waiting for a SEPTA bus in Center City earlier this week, and Philadelphia Police are asking for help finding her assailant.

According to police, the attack happened at about 11:44 a.m. Wednesday at 1100 Mark St.

The victim, a 63-year-old woman, was waiting for the bus when the woman above approached her and started screaming.

That woman then punched the victim in the face, apparently for no reason, knocking the victim to the ground, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black woman with black hair who was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and tan boots.

Central Detective Division is seeking the public’s help identifying the individual seen in the following video clip.

If you see this suspect, do not approach her and instead contact 911 immediately.
