Woman Attacked, Robbed In Philadelphia Apartment Building: Police

Police said the man seen here attacked a woman inside a NW Philadelphia apartment building, knocking her unconscious, then robbed her.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are asking for help finding a man who attacked a woman and robbed her in a Northwest Philadelphia apartment building.

The incident occurred at about 4:40 p.m. July 22 in apartments at 5500 Wissahickon Ave., police said.

Video from the building shows the suspect come into the building while following the victim.

Further footage captured the suspect attacking the victim from behind and forcing her into an empty room, police said.

There, the man threw her to the ground, knocking her unconscious, police said.

That's when he took her belongings and left the building, according to police.

An employee at the building found the victim and helped get her medical attention.

The suspect was described as a black man with braids who was wearing a green hooded jacket.
