A 21-year-old woman died after being involved in a hit-and-run crash just before the Girard Avenue exit on Interstate 76 Saturday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — A woman died after being involved in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 76 this weekend, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The crash occurred at about 2:22 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 76 west, just before the Girard Avenue exit, according to authorities.

Police said the woman, 21 and from Philadelphia, was fatally struck at that time and location.

The striking vehicle drove off, police said.

Authorities did not provide information on the striking vehicle, other than it may have front-end damage and white paint transfer from the crash.
