Woman In Wheelchair Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver
An unidentified woman was fatally struck by a vehicle that drove off early Tuesday morning in the Fairmount area of Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA — A woman in a wheelchair was fatally struck by a vehicle that drove off in Fairmount early Tuesday morning, according to police.
The woman, who has not been identified, was struck at about 1:46 a.m. on the 2200 block of Reservoir Drive, Philadelphia Police said.
According to police, the vehicle, which may be silver, was heading in an unknown direction when it collided with a woman in a wheelchair.

She was hit so hard that she was thrown to the south side of the block, and authorities told NBC10 one of her boots was found about 100 feet from her body.
The wheelchair was discovered on the opposite side, shattered into multiple pieces.

Medics pronounced the woman dead at 1:56 a.m.
