Young Philadelphia Actors Perform in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid
Amelia Carnahan and Alexandria O'Connor of Philadelphia make waves the ensemble of Disney's "The Little Mermaid" at Walnut Street Theatre

Philadelphia natives Amelia Carnahan and Alexandria O’Connor are diving ‘Under the Sea’ this holiday season as they perform on the Walnut Mainstage in the ensemble of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, playing now through January 2, 2022.
Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story and the classic film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is the hauntingly beautiful story of Ariel, who dreams of finding her own way in the world above the sea. Featuring unforgettable songs such as "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World," Disney’s The Little Mermaid promises to be one of the most spectacular productions ever staged at the Walnut!
Carnahan is an 8th grader at Frankford Friends School. She studies voice and dance and is a student at Philadelphia Dance Academy. When not performing, she is also an accomplished sailor, having competed in the LBI O’Pen Skiff Sailing Championships, placing first.

O’Connor is a 7th grader at Beverly Hills Middle School, where she participates in Cheer Leading Squad and the school band. She studies dance at Expressions Emotions Dance School and Creative Dance Expressions.
