ā¢ Clearfield County: Commissioners issue statement on alleged MVPC hunger strike (theprogressnews.com) ā Local officials say the ICE detention center on Geo Drive in Philipsburg did experience a brief meal refusal, but deny reports of an ongoing hunger strike or serious food problems. Clearfield County commissioners, who receive annual revenue from the facilityās contract, say GEO Group reported one detainee with influenza and no recent food complaints, while advocacy groups continue calling for investigations and an end to the countyās ICE agreement.
