153 Injuries, Four Deaths In Pennsylvania During Holiday Season
The Pennsylvania state police released some sobering statistics as the holiday season came to a close.

HARRISBURG, PA - During the four-day Christmas holiday driving period, 153 people were injured and four people were killed in crashes investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police.
Those numbers come from a total of 632 crashes, which occurred between December 24 and December 27.
Of the crashes, 54 were alcohol-related. One of the fatalities was from an alcohol-related crash.

Three of the four people killed were not wearing seat belts, the state police said.
During the same period of time, state troopers arrested 218 individuals for driving under the influence.

They also issued 2,677 speeding citations.
The numbers are actually an improvement on 2014’s Christmas driving period, during which eight people were killed and 224 were injured in a total of 728 crashes.
