422 Closures, Construction to Continue Through Thursday

Midday motorists should allow extra time for travel on both 422 and Valley Forge Road on Wednesday and Thursday.

Altered traffic patterns on Route 422 in the Valley Forge area should be expected through through Thursday as crews work to complete a conduit installation.

PennDOT will keep the right lane and shoulder closed on part of U.S. 422 eastbound and westbound from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both Wednesday and Thursday. The closure is in effect between U.S. 202 and First Avenue in Tredyffrin.

Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on U.S. 422 and Valley Forge Road at midday.

The construction is a part of PennDOT's ongoing $97.4 million bridge-building and infrastructure-improving project along 422 and its crossings over the Schuylkill River.
