FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — Every child deserves to start the school year with a backpack filled with new school supplies. In an effort to make that a reality for some students, TruMark Financial® Credit Union donated 60 colorful backpacks to five local organizations that provide support and services to families dealing with challenging situations. The backpacks, filled with items such as pencils, composition books, crayons, colored pencils, paper, glue, tissues, and sanitizer, are sure to put a big smile on students’ faces.

As part of its Concern for Community initiative, TruMark Financial partnered with the following organizations to distribute the backpacks:

  • Alianzas de Phoenixville
  • Cradles to Crayons
  • Neighbor to Neighbor CDC
  • United Way of Bucks County Stuff the Bus
  • Valley Youth House

The organizations were most appreciative of the donation. “We are truly grateful for your donation. Thank you so much,” said Sheri Ratner, Donor Relations and Volunteer Manager at United Way of Bucks County.
